12 inch Cast-Iron Skillet
Cast iron skillets have been used for centuries and were one of the first modern cooking devices. They retain heat very well and can be put in the oven after the stove. They heat up the food slowly and more evenly than your average pan. If you care and wash properly, these skillets will last even more centuries!
They’re well worth the investment and your food will always turn out perfect.
OXO Good Grips Batter Bowl
Not all bowls are created equal! After months of bothering with shallow bowls, we finally purchased this staple and realized what we were missing. This is a very deep bowl that prevents even the worst of splashing! It’s got a rubber bottom so it stays in place, a handle and spout for easy pouring and measurements on the side so you know how much exactly how much yum you’ve got in there.
T-fal Nonstick 5-Quart Cooker with Lid
This was one of our first pans and remains our favorite! It’s large enough to handle anything we throw into. It’s incredibly convenient- dishwasher safe, nonstick, and features a second handle to ensure moving a full pan of food won’t break your arm! It comes with a lid too, to help food cook faster and more evenly.
It’s affordable and won’t disappoint. A great starter tool.

The porcelain resists staining very well and is one of the best budget cast iron dutch oven models on the market. Overall, it’s excellent quality, heavy duty and much less costly than other brands.

A great tool if you want to be able to perfectly cook your meat (especially steak and turkey) which you don’t have much leeway with. It gets the temperature within 5 seconds and is quite accurate.
It’s very water resistant so you can hand wash it. Never had to re-calibrate it in the last six months we’ve had it!
Stainless Steel Egg Poacher
Always wanted to make poached eggs? These make it a breeze! Once you figure out the right water level, the rest is a done for you with these handy little egg poachers. Be sure to use a slightly wider pot for the best results.
When taking them off the pot, be careful handling them as the handles can get hot!

These are staples when it comes to baking. Baking is a lot like chemistry, if one ingredient is off, the whole dish may not turn out! You want to be sure you’re measuring the right number of ingredients in all your recipes. Cooking is a little more flexible, but it’s still a good idea not to overdo on the cayenne. 😉
These colorful tools will measure cups and spoons for you so your recipes are always on point!
