Almond flour is a great alternative to regular wheat flour everyone’s used to. A good quality almond flour has only one ingredient: almonds! These almonds are ground up into a fine, fluffy meal that can be used in baking. The finer it is, the more it will act like wheat flour to help your batters thicken and your baked goods rise.
Note: almond meal is similar to almond flour, but almond meal is a lot coarser and will have bits of skin mixed in it and is a lot less fluffy. For baking, you want to use almond flour specifically. It’s great for keto, paleo and gluten-free diets!
