Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • sour cream (to serve)
  • Diced Avocado (to serve)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into chunks with a wooden spoon.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper then reduce heat and cook on medium-low for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture into the pie plate and set aside.
  5. Whisk together the heavy cream and eggs then pour over the beef.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Cut into wedges then serve with sour cream and diced avocado, if desired.
