Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Rao's Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup chopped ham
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, combine the 1 ¾ cup mozzarella, almond flour and cream cheese. Microwave the mix for one minute to melt the cheese completely. Stir and then microwave for another 30 seconds.
  3. Add the salt, pepper and egg to the bowl and stir quickly so the egg does not cook.
  4. Once the dough is thoroughly combined, divide it into 6 small balls.
  5. Place one ball on a piece of parchment paper and another piece of parchment on top. Press and roll the ball into a flat circle.
  6. Remove the top piece of parchment and scoop 2 tablespoons of the tomato sauce, some of the remaining mozzarella and ham into the center of the circle. Fold the dough in half, enclosing the filling and then place the dough on a lined baking sheet. Once on the tray, press the edges of the calzone well to seal.
  7. Repeat rolling and filling the remaining calzones.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the calzones are golden brown. Enjoy warm.
