Ingredients
  • 1/4 pound ground pork sausage
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 (2 to 3-ounce) mushroom cap (stem removed)
  • 1/4 cup avocado
  • 2 slices cooked bacon (broken in half)
  • Pinch dried sage
  • salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Combine the sausage, almond flour, sage, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Stir well then shape the mixture into a patty by hand.
  3. Fry the sausage patty in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. When the patty is browned on one side, flip it and fry until cooked through.
  5. Remove the sausage to a plate and reheat the skillet.
  6. Add the mushroom cap with a splash of water then cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it is just tender.
  7. Place the mushroom cap on a plate and spread the mashed avocado over it.
  8. Top with sausage patty and bacon then serve hot.
