- 1/4 pound ground pork sausage
- 2 tablespoons almond flour
- 1 (2 to 3-ounce) mushroom cap (stem removed)
- 1/4 cup avocado
- 2 slices cooked bacon (broken in half)
- Pinch dried sage
- salt and pepper
- Combine the sausage, almond flour, sage, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Stir well then shape the mixture into a patty by hand.
- Fry the sausage patty in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
- When the patty is browned on one side, flip it and fry until cooked through.
- Remove the sausage to a plate and reheat the skillet.
- Add the mushroom cap with a splash of water then cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it is just tender.
- Place the mushroom cap on a plate and spread the mashed avocado over it.
- Top with sausage patty and bacon then serve hot.
