An Easy Low Carb Guacamole Recipe for Any Dinner!
What could be better than a dollop of guacamole on any dinner? Nothing. That’s why you should always have some homemade keto guacamole on hand! And having an easy guacamole recipe under your belt can come in very handy.
Guacamole is easy to make and can be modified to fit your tastes! We love spicy foods. We love biting into a dish and sweating right away from the heat it packs. So into our guacamole, we added a good amount of crushed red pepper and fresh garlic cloves. You can choose to use some roasted garlic cloves to tone down the heat and add a completely different flavor.
Now, a lot of people dislike cilantro… it’s actually a genetic thing! Feel free to omit that completely and add more parsley. Parsley is a great substitute for cilantro.

I’ve added cilantro to my guacamole sometimes, but even better herb in this dish is fresh mint! It is very easy to grow by your kitchen window. I know it has more carbs than cilantro, but a spoonful or two of chopped mint doesn’t weight too much. Garlic has a lot of carbs too but the amounts are very little that are used in recipies… I always add chili flakes but not olive oil or black pepper. I bet there are as many ways to do guacamole as there are people doing it, and everyone is ready to claim their’s is the best:) It is a problem to find a good keto friendly alternative to taco chips to spoon this delightness into your mouth! Can you give some more ideas with that? I imagine my daily carb limit to be 20g and if I enjoy guacamole as a evening snack it can’t take the lion’s share out of my daily carbs….
Yes…this is a darn good quacamole recipe. I added jalapeño for extra heat as we like our “spiceâ€. I would never had thought to include olive oil but isn’t that a neat ingredient! This dish has a date tomorrow with soft shell steak tacos. The tortilla shells are whole wheat and only 4 grams of carbs each. Throw in some shredded cheese and crunchy fresh lettece and boy howdy, its on! Thanks for such a great recipe.
You’re very welcome, Sandra! Glad you liked it 🙂
