Low Carb Cheesey Bread
Finding an amazing low carb bread is every keto dieter’s goal. Bread is such a staple in so many different cuisines and when you start on a keto diet, most breads are just off-limits. So what is a bread lover to do? Try out this awesome recipe of course! Our keto cheese bread is dense, salty, and perfect for so many different applications. From sandwiches to snacking, we know that our recipe is going to be your new go-to low carb bread. Let’s talk a little bit more about why…
If you were scrolling for keto bread recipes and stopped at this one, that may because you saw the word “cheese”. I don’t blame you- I would stop at the word cheese too. Cheese is an essential keto ingredient thanks to its great taste, the wide variety of cheese options and the fats that are packed into any cheese. We have harnessed all that great cheese power into this delicious bread. We use mozzarella and also cream cheese to make a perfect blend of delicious cheesy goodness. The mozzarella not only adds flavor but helps give the bread its structure. Cream cheese adds a nice smooth texture to the bread and makes for a very soft, slightly tangy dough. One bite and you’ll be in cheese heaven (maybe you could make a grilled cheese sandwich using a few slices of this bread…now THAT would be a cheese-tastic treat!).

Of course, as much as we wish we could, we can’t just sit around and eat cheese all day. And, you want a bread recipe, not just a plate of cheese. So there have to be some other ingredients in this bread recipe. Almond flour is one of them. This low carb flour is what helps hold the bread together and gives it some wonderful dense texture. Almond flour is actually just made from finely ground almonds. You can buy almond flour at pretty much any grocery store, order it online or just grind your own nuts until they are a perfect, fluffy powder. Almonds are loaded with healthy fats and also full of vitamins and minerals. That means this delicious bread is not only low carb but also has some great health benefits!
We have seasoned the bread using garlic, salt and a combination of the two-garlic salt! This makes the bread have a wonderful savory flavor that compliments the cheesiness perfectly. If you want a more mild bread, skip the garlic or replace it with your own favorite seasoning. You can try using cayenne pepper for a spicy low carb cheese bread or you could toss in some basil in place of parsley for an Italian flair. If you find a great spice combo, let us know because we will definitely want to try it! Sharing recipes is the best way to keep the keto diet exciting.
Making this bread recipe is super simple and involves only a microwave, an oven and a bowl. Making bread doesn’t get much easier than this! So grab your microwave safe bowl and all your cheeses and get ready to give this tasty keto bread a try. Snap a pic and post it in the comments below so we can see how wonderful your bread baked! - 1 tsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic salt

- Brush the melted butter over the bread and then sprinkle with the garlic salt if using.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the top of the bread is golden brown.

I do not have almond flour, what other flour can I use?
Any other type of nut flour should work for this! I wouldn’t use coconut flour though, it would dry out the end result too much.
